Domain Name Transfers
To successfully transfer a domain to gptservers.net, the following conditions must be met:
- The domain must not be in a "locked" status.
- You must have access to the administrative contact email associated with the domain.
- You need to provide gptservers.net with the domain’s EPP key or transfer secret (if applicable).
- The domain’s expiration date must be more than 5 days away.
- The domain must have been registered for at least 60 days.
- The domain must have one of these extensions: .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info.
Steps to Transfer Your Domain to gptservers.net
- Verify that your domain is active and unlocked. If locked, request your current registrar to unlock it. Confirm that the administrative contact email is one you can access, as the transfer request will be sent there. Check your domain status and email via the provided link.
- Obtain the EPP key or domain transfer secret from your current registrar.
- Ensure you can access the administrative contact email for the domain, as it will receive the transfer approval request.
- Place a domain transfer order on the gptservers.net website.
- Follow the instructions in the transfer request email sent to the administrative contact to approve the transfer.
- If the EPP key is correct, the domain transfer will complete within 5 days.
Webhosting Transfer
Option A: cPanel Transfer If your previous host uses cPanel, provide gptservers.net with your cPanel login details. They will back up and transfer your website, including all email accounts and their content, to your new gptservers.net hosting package.
Option B: Manual Transfer Download your website files from your old host and upload them to your new gptservers.net hosting package. Note that email accounts will need to be recreated, and no email content will be transferred.
