Uploading Files Using cPanel File Manager

Overview To make your website visible online, its files must be uploaded to the public_html directory of your hosting account with gptservers.net. You can use the cPanel File Manager’s “Upload file(s)” feature to add files to this directory or others.

Steps

  1. Access the File Manager by clicking the “File Manager” icon on the main cPanel interface.
  2. Select the “Upload File(s)” option.
  3. Click a “Choose” button to open a file selection window.
  4. Choose a file from your computer by clicking it in the pop-up window.
  5. Click “Open” to close the window and add the file to the upload queue.
  6. Repeat steps 3–5 to select additional files as needed.
  7. Once all desired files are queued, or if you’re done selecting, click “Upload.” You’ll return to the File Manager, viewing the directory where the files were uploaded.

Note: If the upload is successful, a message will display: Upload Status: filename.extension (filename.extension): upload succeeded. (The message will show the actual name(s) of the uploaded file(s).)

Troubleshooting If files fail to upload, try checking the “Overwrite existing files” box. Be cautious, as this will replace existing files, even if they are newer than the ones you’re uploading.
