**Removing the Default Homepage**
To remove the default homepage from your gptservers.net hosting account, follow these steps:
1. Log in to cPanel (e.g., `http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel`).
2. In the "Files" section, click the “File Manager” icon.
3. Select “Web Root (public_html/www)” and check “Show Hidden Files,” then click “Go.”
4. Double-click the `public_html` folder to open it.
5. Locate the `index.php` file, right-click it, and select “Delete.”
**Uploading a New Index File**
To replace the default homepage with your own:
1. Prepare your website file on your local computer and name it `index.html`, `index.htm`, or `index.php` (any of these will work).
2. In the File Manager, with the `public_html` folder open, click “Upload” on the top toolbar.
3. Click “Browse” (or “Choose File” depending on your browser) and select the index file from your computer.
4. Wait for the upload to complete and look for a success confirmation. Then, refresh your website to view the new homepage.
