Removing Old FrontPage Extensions

Overview If you previously installed FrontPage Extensions on your gptservers.net hosting account and have since uninstalled them, you should ensure all residual files are removed before reinstalling. This guide explains how to clean up old FrontPage Extensions using cPanel.

Steps

  1. Access FrontPage Extensions by clicking the “FrontPage Extensions” icon on the main cPanel interface.
  2. Select the “Cleanup Old Extensions” option.

Note: After performing the cleanup, you’ll see a message similar to the following (with domain.com replaced by your actual domain):

Attempting to remove FrontPage Extensions... Starting uninstall, port: 80. Error: The FrontPage Server Extensions are not installed on 'www.domain.com:80'. Removing .htaccess files....Done Removing old FrontPage files...Done FrontPage Extensions are currently: not installed

Troubleshooting If you see the error message above, don’t be concerned. It simply means FrontPage Extensions are not currently installed on your account, so there’s nothing to remove.
